Afternoon everyone! Todays post is just a short one about what I wore last Saturday night when I was reunited with Éimear since she’s finally back in Killarney after college and we decided to have a drink to catch up on all the news and stories we both have. If you follow her on twitter you will be probably be aware of some of her stories (If you don’t follow her do because her twitter is the place to be for laughs, stories and just all round fab tweets. Username @_AltGrEimear) so we headed to the usual place in Killarney called The Kube and here is where I explain the title of this post.
Myself and Éimear discovered sometime last year one of their cocktails called Purple Rains which very quickly became our signature drink as it is delicious. You will have seen me mention it in posts before but this time around we headed into The Kube and finally got to the bar to order our drink only to find that they no longer serve them. So the hunt for our new signature drink is on. I also would like to point out how they decided to stop serving Purple Rains a month after the death of the Purple Rain singer Prince?
So for the night I wore this Playsuit which I bought at work last week. It first arrived as a bardot top but came in a delivery about a week ago in a playsuit and I wasn’t entirely sure about it but when I tried it on I loved it! I will definitely be wearing this one a good bit. It was really nice to not wear black or white for a change as well. I nearly always wear a black top and black shorts when I go out because its easy to wear but I loved the colour of this playsuit and feel like I am starting to get out of my monochrome rut. As you can see in the picture (its not the best but its the only outfit photo I have of it on sorry!) I put a elasticated blue belt around it to break it up a little bit and used my multicolour bag which I also love because it goes with everything. I wore my black ankle strap studded heels with it because they are ridiculously comfortable to wear and also go with everything. For my make up you know that I am literally the plainest person so as I just went for my usual everyday make up. I never use eyeliner or eyeshadow never mind contouring so my make up is always pretty basic. I just pinned my hair back to the sides and styled it in waves which is my new favourite way to have my hair. I wore my crystal stud earrings that I wear everyday and my ribbon choker which was featured in this post. We had a great night and caught up on our news and as usual ended up in The Grand. At one point we were on stage with a band called The Clockworks and it was definitely a moment to remember! It is always a good night in The Grand!
I hope you’re having a good weekend where ever you are! Its the day after the wedding here in England so I will be posting about thst next week but for now check out my Instagram for photos!
