Hello everyone I hope Christmas treated you well and that Santa was good to all of you! Todays post is just a little bit of what I got up to this Christmas with my family here in Kerry. December is normally a month of just spending as most of us have birthdays in December beside Christmas so there was a lot of shopping to be done but as long as everyones happy on the day its all worth it! So my dads birthday is on the 24th of December which is also Christmas Eve so we always have a little celebration for him with a traditional meal of beef wellington and we always dress up a bit for the occasion! So this was my simple but dressed up look for dinner that night. Its all Newlook old and new. The top is new in the store and you can see it here where it is also available in blue and red. The earrings I picked up a couple weeks ago for the staff christmas party and they are my new favourite dressed up earrings. They go with everything and are so simple but dressy. They are just a clouded diamond with a gold length underneath. Here are some of the decoration details from the table which I laid for the occasion! I always lay the table for Christmas because I look at it like its a Visual Merchandising project!
With that the next day brought Christmas Day and it was time to open presents! We are pretty traditional on Christmas day in that we get up have some toast and tea and then open the presents and then have a scrambled egg and smoked salmon breakfast which is so good! I got some great gifts from family including Giorgio Armani perfume Sì, the Sex And The City boxset and a new Toni&Guy hair Straightener. All of these have been on my list for ages!So obviously as Christmas Dinner is a big thing in terms of dressing up and the actual amount of food I went with an old favourite dress of mine with some simple white heels and minimal jewellery. It was just the family complete with grandparents so I didn’t see the need to go all out for the occasion! This dress I bought in Tk Maxx about 4 or 5 years ago and it is one of my all time favourites. Its by Miss Behave and is a really nice powder blue chiffon dress. The shoes I bought last year on the day of my interview for my job in Newlook! It is my go to dress for occasions because its so simple. I would never wear it on a night out or anything like that because its just too nice for that! After a mountain of food and chocolate I could not be in a dress anymore so I threw on my pjs instead! We all watched Gogglesprogs which if you’re a Gogglebox fan like my family and I you will know exactly what that it. If not its basically a version of Gogglebox with children aged 8-11 and it was hilarious! We also watched The Snowman and then we couldn’t stay awake anymore so we managed to get ourselves upstairs to bed which after all the food was a miracle! I definitely will not be hungry for the month anyway! So thats what I got up this Christmas mostly! I was back to work on St. Stephans day or Boxing day depending on where you’re from. So the sales have started and please go easy on the staff because were working as fast and hard as we can to help everyone! So thats about it for now I hope your Christmas was as nice as mine and that you’re still filled with Christmas cheer and probably food too! Ill be back in a few days with my New Years post so keep an eye out!
