Zac Posen Spring Collection for New York Fashion Week Review

New York hosted many shows and designer during Fashion Week but the one that stood out for the most so far is Zac Posen’s Spring Collection. These are my favourite looks from the American designer and his Ready to Wear Spring Collection from this years New York Fashion Week. Each model wears a beautifully crafted dress with a messy updo and floral accessories. Each piece is unique and shows individuality. They are feminine style dresses with faint floral prints, pastel and shimmering colours, and corsetry. The looks are extremely detailed and shows amazing craftsmenship and yet the overall look is simple. They have a vintage feel to them with the way some of the dresses compliment the silhouettes. Zac Posen was inspired by French actress Sarah Bernhadt from the 1911 French film La Dame aux Camélias. The collection wasn’t exactly on trend with current styles but in my opinion I like that he went for a different feel and style of dress. For me, I was head over heels when I saw Look 37. This beautiful, corseted, puff skirt gown just won my heart. Its simplicity was stunning. The detail on the skirt wasn’t visable at first but when you look closely it shows shimmering silver floral print. Overall I really like his collection. Although it was not his usual style it was still beautifully crafted and showed is talent.
